Today's scientists have developed a safe and effective process that mimics
the way diamonds are colored by nature. Enhancement by irradiation
produces permanent color alteration of a genuine, non-fancy-color diamond.
Genuine diamonds
are subjected to high-energy electron particles in state-of-the-are U.S.
laboratories in a process similar to that used for food irradiation.
Diamonds are treated in accordance with all U.S. safety standards and are
sometimes also subjected to further color enhancement by annealing at high
temperatures. The diamonds processed in this matter are called color-enhanced diamonds. They're
safe to wear, the colors produced are permanent, and the price is reasonable for
genuine diamonds.
In general, the colors of treated diamonds are far more saturated than those
of naturally occurring color diamonds, also making them highly desirable for
