Answers to our Frequently Asked
Questions:
1. We do not have a printed catalog at this time. Our online
inventory is continuously being updated to provide you with the most beautiful
jewelry pieces that you ask for! It would be very difficult for us to keep
a catalog current. If you are looking for a particular jewelry piece and
don't have the time to browse our online inventory, please email
customercare@juliesjewels.com
and we'll assist you in your search.

4. There are many differences between moissanite and cubic zirconia
gemstones.
Moissanite is a relatively new jewel
created by a company called Charles & Colvard. This jewel was only introduced
within the last 10 years.
Moissanite jewels are faceted like diamonds and are indeed
cut and polished in a manner very similar to diamonds. Moissanite jewels have
the optical properties of diamonds. These jewels actually have more fire and
brilliance than a diamond because of something called a “double refractive”
property. These jewels are as clear or “eye clean” as SI quality diamonds.
Moissanite jewels are almost as hard as a diamond on the Mohs scale.
As a Certified Charles & Colvard Retailer you'll get a Charles & Colvard
certificate of authenticity with your moissanite jewels and a limited lifetime
warranty from Charles & Colvard.
Cubic zirconia, on the other hand,
is extremely inexpensive. CZ’s are manufactured by various vendors and usually
machine cut, not cut by a diamond cutter. CZ’s will lose their luster with time
and even appear to have a cloudy look. In my opinion, there is really little
comparison between a CZ and a moissanite jewel. Moissanite jewels are in a
category of their own. Cubic Zirconia will always be “white”. In many
instances, CZ’s are too white. It is sometimes difficult to match a CZ to
genuine diamonds as well. If you use a CZ in a jewelry piece which is exposed
to daily wear, then you can probably expect to replace the CZ every year or so.
Moissanite jewels, on the other hand are guaranteed for a lifetime against loss
of color, luster, fire or brilliance.
We do sell and will set both of these gemstones
in our jewelry pieces. Each of these jewels has their place in the jewelry
industry. We'll be happy to price your favorite jewelry piece with both
moissanite jewels and cubic zirconia gemstones and you can decide between the
two!

5. Every
moissanite jewel has a
hint of color. They are considered "near colorless" and in fact have
less color than some diamonds. But, if you compare a moissanite jewel to a really white
diamond, you might be able to see a slight difference in color. This difference is not
noticeable when the stone is set in a solitaire setting or even when a moissanite jewel
is set with baguette diamonds or small diamonds surrounding it. Diamonds are
naturally available in different shades of color. The most valuable diamonds are the "colorless"
diamonds. Charles & Colvard does a great job getting their moissanite jewels as
"near colorless" as possible, but these jewels will have a hint of
color which gives the moissanite jewels a "warmth" and in my opinion enhances
the brilliance and natural appearance of the stones.
We are proud to be a
Certified
Charles & Colvard Retailer. We select our moissanite jewels very carefully
to ensure our customers get the prettiest
moissanite jewels created. We think you will be delighted with the fire,
brilliance, and color of moissanite jewels and look forward to helping you
choose a special piece of jewelry.

6.
Moissanite
jewels look exactly like
diamonds and actually have a little more fire and brilliance than natural
diamonds. It's this fire and brilliance which make moissanite jewels so
popular.
The sparkle and fire of these jewels is what attracts most people. It will look like
a very nice diamond because of the sparkle/fire of the gem.
A typical person can not
tell a diamond from a moissanite jewel and in fact many jewelers can not
distinguish between a moissanite jewel and a diamond without the aid of special
equipment. Moissanite jewels are incredibly close to diamonds in
appearance and if you're wondering if anyone will be able to "tell the
difference" the answer is probably not.
All moissanite stones are considered “eye clean”
and to be perfectly honest, really have very few inclusions even under a loupe.
I estimate the clarity to be a VS2, but someone else might estimate it to be
higher than that.
